2. STRATO web hosting

This website is operated on STRATO web hosting provided by STRATO GmbH. When you visit the site, your browser transmits in particular your IP address, the time of access, the requested address and technical browser information to the web server. Server log data may be generated in the process. This processing serves to provide, troubleshoot and secure the website on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. As the hosting provider, STRATO is a recipient of this data.

The retention period of the hosting logs is governed by the STRATO settings and contractual terms applicable to the web hosting. No specific deletion period is guaranteed here. Further information is provided by STRATO on data protection.

3. Contact form and email

The form processes your name, your email address and your message as well as, optionally, your company and selected topic in order to handle and answer your enquiry. Without the mandatory details the form cannot send an enquiry. Alternatively, you can contact us by email. The form is transmitted encrypted via HTTPS.

The form data is passed to the mail function of the STRATO web hosting for sending to info@kernwerk-technologies.de. Your email address serves as the reply address. The form handler does not create a database of messages. Further processing takes place in email correspondence; the hosting and email providers involved process the data for transmission and storage. Acceptance for sending does not yet confirm receipt in the mailbox.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR insofar as a contract with you or steps prior to entering into one are concerned. For other business enquiries, in particular by contact persons of a company, the processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR and our interest in handling business communication. Enquiries are deleted as soon as they are no longer required for processing and no statutory retention obligations or legitimate grounds for further storage exist.

4. Protection against misuse

The form checks the origin and the entries and uses a check field hidden from visitors. To limit repeated requests, a hash is calculated from the IP address using a secret key. Only this pseudonymous value, time window and counter are stored in a private temporary file outside the publicly accessible web directory. Message contents and unencrypted IP addresses are not stored there.

The time windows last 15 minutes. Expired entries are removed on the next request that reaches this check; without further requests they may remain until the temporary storage is cleaned up. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in protection against spam and misuse.

5. Fonts, cookies and analytics

The fonts are delivered together with the website from our own web hosting. No Google Fonts servers are contacted when you visit. This website does not use analytics or marketing services and does not set any cookies itself. Form entries are not stored in local browser storage. No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.

6. Your rights

Subject to the statutory requirements, you have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future.

You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement. For Baden-Württemberg the competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg (Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg).
